What custom box formats are available?

In the world of packaging, and more specifically corrugated board, we use the FEFCO code. It designates all possible shapes and types of closure/opening. Our material, isostrat, made of 3mm polystyrene foam, behaves and transforms more or less like cardboard, except that it has an insulating performance. Closure with or without adhesive, tamper-evident, front or top opening – everything is possible. Using the FEFCO code to communicate with us is a familiar language, and as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Otherwise, referring to this FEFCO code gives you a basic idea, which you can then develop as you see fit.

I don’t know what the box should look like, but I have a need for specific products.

No problem, and that’s what our design office is all about: custom design. If you need packaging to hold products such as verrines or small ice-cream tubs, we’ll design the wedging and send you a prototype. We can also produce a pre-production run of a few pieces, enabling you to test the packaging in real-life conditions.

How does custom-made isothermal packaging work?

Our design office is equipped with a cutting table enabling us to prototype packaging as we wish, without the need to invest in expensive industrial cutting tools. This cutting table enables us to produce samples and pre-production mini-series. Once the prototype/sample has been validated, we order an industrial cutting tool that can cut large quantities to meet your orders as quickly as possible.

Do I have to contribute to the cost of cutting tools?

Yes, we are manufacturers of isothermal packaging. Each package manufactured on our machines requires the purchase of its own cutting tool in order to produce on an industrial scale. This is a one-off investment. After that, Isovation is in charge! We take care of the maintenance of the cutting tool, so you won’t hear about it again as long as the product is ordered regularly. We undertake to keep the tooling for 2 years without an order, after which time it will not be kept.

Is it possible to personalize my isothermal box with a print?

Yes, we’re equipped with screen-printing presses. Our design department will print your logos, marketing information and regulations on the box. Together, we draw up a print order, specifying the information that will appear on your personalized isothermal box and the pantone references of the colors to be printed.
