This is packaging intended and designed for a product that must be maintained within the 2/8°C temperature range for a given duration: the time between the moment the product is inserted into the packaging and the time the recipient opens the package to use the transported temperature-sensitive product.
Packaging is considered validated when it has been tested in our climate chambers: we prototype the packaging and test it under the same conditions as those that will be used during shipping. This allows us to prove the performance of a package before it has even been used. We confirm that the material thicknesses were selected correctly and that the insulated packaging is correctly sized: it will keep the products within the 2/8°C temperature range.
The transport of medical products is regulated and meets strict requirements. Medical products such as medications and vaccines have high added value, so stockouts must be avoided to avoid re-deliveries and additional costs associated with losses due to product unavailability.
Consequently, these products must be transported in accordance with the cold chain, in self-contained insulated packaging.
What are the available durations for 2/8°C validated packaging?
We have developed self-contained insulated solutions for refrigerated fresh products for periods of 24 hours, up to 96 hours. However, we are able to design tailor-made solutions for much longer periods, depending on your logistical constraints: customs, storage, and various warehousing, which can add additional logistics steps to your transport plan.
Our packaging can transport products ranging from 1 to 30 liters, while maintaining the temperature between 2 and 8°C.
