What is a reusable or single-use thermal cover?

A thermal cover can be used to completely cover a basic 80x120cm or 100x120cm pallet containing heat-sensitive products. These insulated covers can be single-use: they are cost-effective and designed to be efficient, with no need for robust materials due to their long service life. The covers are designed to be shipped with the pallet, with no chance of being recovered at the end of transport. The economic aspect is therefore essential.
Conversely, an isothermal cover that will be used within the same organization must be sturdy, washable and able to protect pallets of different products for several months. Pallets can be of varying heights: reusable isothermal covers are therefore modular, as the height can be adjusted using a Velcro system.

How effective is an isothermal cover?

Is a reusable insulated bag better than a single-use insulated bag?
An isothermal cover is designed to prevent thermal shock when loading and unloading products from pallets, without having to depalletize them. An isothermal cover is not an isothermal solution in the strict sense of the term, as it will not maintain a controlled temperature autonomously for several hours or days during transport: the thickness of the insulation is relatively thin, and there is no cold supply from thermal accumulators or other energy sources.
The isothermal cover should be used as a complement, to limit heat exchange on products located at the ends of the pallet (corners, top), when unloading between a cold room and a refrigerated truck, for example.

Are insulated covers customizable?

We have two models of reusable isothermal covers: 5-sided and 6-sided (the 6-sided cover also protects the underside of the palletized load).
Both covers are made of textile fabric and can be printed with your logo, subject to order quantities.
Single-use covers can be customized in their design, as they are produced on demand: their manufacturing process is simpler, using single- or double-layer bubble film with an aluminized coating on each side. Their size is adjustable, as is the opening/closing direction.
