The pharmaceutical industry is well developed in Morocco, with nearly 50 laboratories producing medicines for both human and veterinary medicine. The sector, which accounts for 5% of the country’s industrial GDP, is booming, with exports developing strongly, especially to Africa and the Middle East.
Many of the medicines we produce or distribute must remain within precise temperature limits, even during transport, to preserve their quality and thus the health of our patients.
Isovation, a key player in the cold chain, both as an expert and as a designer and manufacturer of isothermal packaging solutions, has been present in Morocco for over fifteen years, and is expanding there with the support of a well-established distributor, Fortrade.
This seminar was organized by Isovation and Fortrade, for Moroccan laboratories, on Good Packaging Practices and Solutions for Heat-Sensitive Health Products.
The event brought together some forty professionals at the Palace d’Anfa in Casablanca: Pharmacists in charge of Human Health Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Veterinarians in charge of Animal Health Laboratories, Quality Directors, etc.
From left to right: Ana Maria Calota, Export Manager, Bure Melander, Consultant and Moderator, Philippe Carles, President of Isovation, and Delphine Emery, Quality Manager.
This was no trial run, as Isovation has already organized a Cold Chain Day in Casablanca in 2019, and participated in an event by the Ordre des Pharmaciens Fabricants et Répartiteurs du Maroc on the same theme in 2015.
After the seminar, Isovation attended the Officine Expo trade show in Marrakech, to plan a new presentation on the Cold Chain in Morocco in 2024.
