For once, Isovation is breaking new ground.

ISOVATION is very pleased to announce that as part of its environmental policy we will be delivering to our customers by river and sea from August 2019.

With the support of ADEME and the PACA region, we worked with our main customers to ensure easy access to a port terminal.
Les voies navigables de France (NVF) supports river delivery in the heart of cities, and ISOVATION in its innovative approach.
Carried out in collaboration with the Seine terminals and Ports de Paris, this operation is a fine example of ISOVATION’s efforts to develop its environmental impact through urban river logistics.
To facilitate the implementation of this waterborne delivery operation for our customers, Voies Navigables de France supported ISOVATION in setting up their project.
In particular, by adapting the service offer to the needs of the operation, and extending the operating hours of the Saint Maur and Créteil locks.
The realization of this new traffic demonstrates the ability of all the different players on the river – port managers (Ports de Paris), network managers (VNF), transporters (Terminaux de Seine) and, of course, ISOVATION – to mobilize and combine their skills, experience and know-how for the benefit of an innovative project.

Urban river logistics is a modern solution for our industry.
While the creation of an urban logistics concept is not completely new, since traffic of this type already exists, the ISOVATION experience is original in several respects:
river transport concerns mass consumption products,
it indirectly contributes to modifying the behavior of logisticians by integrating a river solution,
and it supports a new consumption pattern of households looking for more proximity in their purchases of food products, as an alternative to large shopping malls.

Urban logistics reduces the share of road transport, and thus the nuisance caused by truck traffic in dense urban and peri-urban areas.
It limits co-management and pollution, increases safety and reduces the risk of accidents.
It allows the use of green trucks for the last few kilometers, which take up less traffic and parking space.
Urban river transport enables the pooling of transport assigned to a catchment area: it is a factor in logistics performance.
By working on the landscape integration of infra/superstructures, and on the combined uses (transport/promoters, etc.) of quays, urban river transport is a factor of “positive value” for the areas it crosses, and conceals a potential for additional attractiveness.

ISOVATION is also working closely with the BPI, Business France, and the ports of Marseille, Le Havre and Dunkirk, as well as Genoa and Zeebrugge, to extend its activities abroad and deliver to customers by sea and river within the next 2 years.

ISOVATION hopes that its high environmental impact action will be understood by its customers, and asks them to make an appointment with Armèle Rowe (+33(0)4 90 16 53 95), the Export and France sales assistant, to set up the organization necessary for the success of this action.
