Isothermal solution validated in climatic chambers to NF S99 700 standard. Allows transport of refrigerated products at 2/8°C for up to 72 hours.
This isothermal solution consists of an outer box made of Isostrat (3mm XPS foam), inner insulation (40 to 60mm XPS foam panels), an inner thermal barrier made of Isostrat (5 to 10mm), and phase-change cold accumulators at 0°C.
These solutions are validated in accordance with profiles ST-72 a / b and d of standard NFS 99 700.
The benefits
Stand-alone solution: when the cold accumulators are inserted in the packaging, it’s self-sufficient, keeping fresh produce fresh for 72 hours without the need for additional energy.
The temperature of the product inside the packaging is controlled.

Packaging is said to be validated or homologated following a validation that has been carried out to determine its performance. This performance gives an indication of the temperature that can be maintained inside the packaging for a given period of time, in relation to the temperature outside. Depending on the thickness of the materials and the amount of cold applied to the inside of the packaging, the solution will perform more or less well. Our solutions are validated for 2/8°C, 72h for the transport of medicines in the healthcare sector, according to the profiles of standard NFS99700.
Solutions are validated in our climatic chambers. Our climatic chambers are checked annually, and comply with the NFX 15 140 standard, which defines the suitability of a climatic chamber for this type of qualification test. We record the core temperature of products using temperature probes which are checked annually and whose measurement chain is linked to a UKAS standard (COFRAC equivalent).
The self-contained packaging developed and manufactured by Isovation can last longer or shorter, depending on the delivery time you need. The various stages of transport between the time you prepare your product and when the customer receives it represent 72 hours. Some of our customers allow an extra 12 to 24 hours, to avoid any delivery delays. So for a product that theoretically needs to be transported for 48 hours, we design and validate a solution that will ensure 2/8°C for 72 hours.
You have several options: the first is to take a look at the 96-hour duration. Perhaps one size will fit the dimensions of your products over a longer period. As they say, “who can do more, can do less”. This may be enough to tide you over. Then, in a second phase, you can entrust your specifications to our design office, which will develop a solution adapted to the dimensions of your products, over a period of 72 hours.
